Miracle Mondays – Road Trip

The last time Theo rode in his car seat was on the way to the Emergency Room. Today, two months later, he was cruising comfortably in our car as we left the hospital; something I never imagined possible. Today’s miracle was a long awaited family road trip – packed bags, sunny skies, the three of us blissfully driving with the hospital in our rear view mirror.

  1. I’m so happy for all of you. I have been following your posts faithfully and this makes me so happy! He is such a beautiful little boy! Enjoy your time away from the hospital; you have waited a longtime for this. Theo looks like he is enjoying the ride!

  2. What an amazing day for your family!! I have had the pleasure of meeting you at the Caron Road get together!!! I have been following your story and I have to say you have shown so much strength, courage and love! Although I couldn’t imagine how tough this must be, you both have pushed through it all and have shown what unconditional love is!!!

  3. I’m so happy you get to take your precious little guy home. Sometimes its tough as a parent to make decisions like this. But you and your husband will I’m sure be the best nurses to your little guy. I pray he does better and feels the comfort of being home. love and prayers to you all. xo

  4. Oh, that sweet little face! My heart is melting! Thank you for sharing Ashlee. I hope the transition out of the hospital goes very smoothly and that you get all the support you need. Bless that little man, what a very brave boy! He is looking great. Love you xxoo

  5. I somehow missed the prior blog you wrote about taking Theo home to care for him. It is amazing you get to leave the hospital with him as I’m sure you never imagined at one point uou’d get to. I see after reading the other blog you have lots of work ahead but there’s no better care giver than a mom and dad! Enjoy your time out of hospital and know we’ll continue praying over here, down here in Australia! Xo

  6. My husband and I have been following your posts and have shed many tears for your family along the way. We have a little boy a few months older than Theo and we are in awe of your strength through the last two months. Reading your latest post, I find myself shedding tears of happiness. What an amazing little boy! We are so happy to see you heading home and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers every day.

  7. So happy to see that you may have some relief of a little normalcy. My thoughts and prayers are still with you and your lovely family for continued deep faith, for peace in your hearts, for strength in you lives, for a miracle that will heal Theo completely. Your family’s picture is still on my refrigerator to always remind me never to stop praying and hoping and I ask God to send another blessing for you all each time I see the photo. I hope to someday meet you all. Take Care of yourselves. Bless you all.
